Today we implemented some Internet safety features onto our blogs, including spam filters. We also added a Clustrmap, which allows us to see who views our blog. We ended off by commenting on likes and potential improvements of other peoples' blogs.
I like the star background, it's very attractive and the gadgets are very organized. The clustrmap is a little "off" though and it kind of takes away from the effect.
The star background is appropriate and is just enough to make the page interesting to look at. The gadgets you have chosen are very appropriate for a physics blog. To further enchance your blog, you may consider rearranging your gadgets into a more logical order.

Space, the final frontier . . . a great background choice, Jonathan! White text on a black background makes your text easy to read, too. Your gadgets may go together better if they were all the same width.
